Oia Santorini
Perched on the northern tip of Santorini, Oia is the island’s most iconic village, known for its whitewashed houses, blue-domed churches, and dramatic views over the Aegean Sea. Built along the caldera cliffs formed by a volcanic eruption, Oia offers some of the most photographed sunsets in the world, drawing crowds each evening to its narrow marble streets and terraces.
Historically a prosperous maritime hub, Oia declined after earthquakes in the 20th century but has since been carefully restored into a luxury destination. Today, it blends traditional Cycladic architecture with upscale hotels, art galleries, and fine dining. Despite tourism, Oia Santorini retains a quiet charm in its hidden alleys, cave houses, and small chapels overlooking the sea.
