Explore the ancient Thera
Ancient Thera sits on the top of a hill called Mesa Vouno. Nick Zapheiropoulos s excavation unearthed the city’s necropolis in Sellada. You can see there the Agora, the Theatre the Gymnasium and Temples. Findings from these excavations are also on exhibit at the archeological museum in Fira. Ancient Thera is open to the public and can be reached on a road that starts at Kamari or several footpaths from both sides of the mountain…

Ammoudi Bay
Fishing village below Oia. Is surrounded by red volcanic rocks and the Aegean Sea. Well-known for its tavernas and restaurants with fresh food (especially fish). It’s an excellent spot for cliff-diving and has spectacular views.
Kamari Beach
It is settled on Santorini’s east coast and is well-known for its clear waters. Due to its volcanic history Kamari Beach is a large black sand beach. Laying down on its lounge chairs and umbrellas you can relax and enjoy the incredible view.

The lighthouse in Akrotiri
Located on the southwestern tip of the island. Was built in 1892 by a French trading company… Is one of the first lighthouses ever built in Greece… It stopped operating during World War ll until 1945 when it was reconstructed by the Greek navy…
Lighthouse is also famous for its spectacular sunset… Sitting on the rocks around, you see the magnificent view of the red sun diving into the Aegean sea…
Hiking on the edge…
…Of the caldera from Fira to Oia. A 3 hour hiking tour , 9 kilometer long trail, passes through Fira , Firostefani , Imerovigli and Oia. During this trip you will come upon photogenic stops such as Skaros rock and the St. Gerasimos Church with a Blue Dome. Prophet Elias Monastery is along the way, 550 meters above sea and boasts the most magnificent views of the Aegean sea. Remember to take with you enough water and comfortable footwear.
Discover Thirassia
An island separated from Santorini due to the volcanic eruption in 1500 B.C. , followed by a devastating tsounami. You can go there by boat from the Gialos port. You can also enjoy a day trip boat tour from Ammoudi Bay. You can visit the scenic village of Manolas with the colored houses or spend the day at lovely beaches/Hot Springs.
Explore the most vibrant Villages of Santorini
Perissa is a coastal village with hotels, apts and campsites of the Southeastern part. You can find there many facilities for water sports, beach volley courts and a water park. Enjoy the outstanding Red Beach
This beach is surrounded by steep volcanic rocks from which the red color comes from. Exciting Marine Life also makes Red Beach an excellent site for Snorkeling… Close by you will find Kambia Beach and White Beach where you can have an access only by a boat. You can get on one of them and have an 1 hour trip exploring the whole Southern part of the island. Towards the lighthouse and its astonishing sunset, on your left you can take the 1 mile dirt road to get to the Mesa Pigadia beach with its Black Sand and its magic sceneries.
The charming village of Oia
Oia is one of the highlights of Santorini and a dreaming destination that offers unforgettable views. Is located on the northern tip of Santorini s caldera and is famous for its whitewashed houses , blue-domed churches (the symbol of Santorini) and its unique sunsets… One of the best spots to watch a stunning sunset is the Castle ruins of Agios Nikolaos…

Monastery of Profitis Ilias in Pyrgos
Pyrgos is one of the most beautiful must see villages located in the center of Santorini… Three miles away is a Monastery dedicated to the prophet Elijah… The solid facade of its exterior walls is reminiscent of a fortress… Dates back to 1711 and in early times possessed considerable wealth… It was also an active intellectual and patriotic influence… From 1806 to 1845 it ran a school where the Greek language and literature were taught… The Monastery s decline began in 1860… the building later suffered serious damage in the earthquake caused in 1956…
